During a Remote Online Notarization (RON), you will sign the document electronically through the online notarization platform while participating in the live audio-video session with the Notary.

The platform will guide you to the areas of the document that require your signature or initials. Depending on the platform, you may create, select, or adopt an electronic signature and apply it where required.

The Notary will guide you through the notarization process and complete the applicable electronic notarial certificate after the required signatures and notarial act are completed.

You do not need to print the document, sign it by hand, scan it, and send it back unless you have specifically been instructed to use a different process.

After the session is completed, the electronically signed and notarized document will be available electronically.
