How Does a Mobile Notary Appointment Work?

How does a mobile notarization appointment work?

A Mobile Notary appointment brings the notary to your home, office, hospital, care facility, or another agreed-upon location.

The process is simple:

  1. Schedule your appointment.
Book your Mobile Notary appointment online or contact us for scheduling assistance. Provide the location, document type, number of signers, and whether witnesses are required.

  2. Prepare your document.
Have the document ready for the appointment, but do not sign in advance if your document or notarial act requires the signature to be made in the Notary's presence.

  3. Have acceptable identification available.
Each signer must provide satisfactory identification as required by Florida law, unless another legally permitted method of identification applies.

  4. Meet with the Notary.
The Notary will meet you at the scheduled location, verify the signer's identity, communicate directly with the signer, and complete the appropriate notarial act.

  5. Complete the notarization.
Depending on the notarial act, the signer may sign in the Notary's presence or acknowledge a previously made signature. Any required oath or affirmation will also be administered when applicable.

  6. Receive your completed document.
After the notarial certificate is completed and the required notarial seal is applied, your document will be returned to you.

Mobile appointments are subject to applicable travel fees in addition to notarial fees. If your document requires witnesses and you need assistance locating them, witness coordination may be available for an additional fee when requested in advance.
