How Long Does the Apostille Process Take?

How long does the apostille process take?

Apostille processing times vary depending on the document, issuing state or federal agency, destination country, submission method, and the current processing times of the government authority handling the request.

Florida apostille requests are processed through the Florida Department of State. Documents issued in other states generally must be submitted to the appropriate authority in the state where the document originated. Federal documents may require processing through a federal agency.

Additional time may also be needed for shipping, document corrections, translations, certifications, or Embassy or Consulate legalization when applicable.

Because government processing times can change, B. Elise Notary Services will provide the current estimated processing timeframe when your documents are reviewed.

We recommend starting the process as early as possible, especially when your documents are needed by a specific deadline.

Please note: Processing timeframes are estimates and are not guaranteed, as government agency processing times are outside of our control.
