Who Can Request an I-9 Employment Verification?

Who can request an I-9 Verification?

B. Elise Notary Services provides Form I-9 Authorized Representative services for employers and their newly hired employees.

Services may be requested by:

  • Employers that need an Authorized Representative to complete Section 2 of Form I-9
  • Remote employees whose employer has instructed them to locate an Authorized Representative
  • Staffing agencies and other employers that need assistance completing Form I-9 for new hires
  • Employees completing remote onboarding who have been instructed by their employer to arrange local Form I-9 document examination

The employee may contact B. Elise Notary Services and schedule the appointment; however, the employer must authorize or accept B. Elise Notary Services as its Authorized Representative for completion of the applicable portion of Form I-9.

Employers may also provide their own instructions, forms, or access to an electronic I-9 system that must be followed during the appointment.

Form I-9 verification is not a notarization. We act as the employer's Authorized Representative when completing the verification.
